How do we make a difference?
What the troops thought about the Christmas Box
Each year the Charity Operation Christmas Box asks the troops to comment on the Christmas Box and its contents. The Christmas Box had overwhelming popular reviews and there were many expressions of thanks and appreciation for what the Charity and the people in the UK are doing, in particular the realisation that the thoughts of the nation are with the troops serving overseas away from their families and loved ones. Here is a small selection of the some of the comments received:
- Received my Christmas box this morning, you guys are awesome. Thanks very much for all you do!
- Thank you very much for my Christmas tin. I know you guys work really hard all year round for us.
- I have just opened my Christmas box that I received whilst deployed, I must say I was very impressed. There has clearly been a lot of thought given to the contents and I was most pleasantly surprised.
- I just wanted to say that the Operation Christmas Box brightened up the day. So thank you for thinking of us, from me and the rest of the team.
- The parcels helped to brighten up the Soldiers day despite them all being away from their families at Christmas. As such, they provided a welcome link with home.
- Received one of your wonderful boxes on Christmas Day, a heartfelt thanks to you and all of your supporters. It made a long day a bit easier!
- I'm very grateful for my Christmas box, they get better every year without fail. I was particularly impressed this year and have found uses for almost every item within. Thank you.
- A really well-stocked and thoughtful gift box, thank you.
... and many more appreciative comments!
