100 Days to Christmas

100 Days to Christmas – Please show your support!

Thursday, 16 September marks 100 days until Christmas. It is at this time of year when we all
begin to think about the festive season and what our plans will be. For Operation Christmas Box however
the planning has already begun, and at this moment we are sending out our special Christmas
Boxes by land, air and sea to Servicemen and women, wherever they are across the globe.

This year Operation Christmas Box is sending 22,500 boxes full of Christmas cheer to the men and women
of our Armed Forces who will be serving away from home on operations, or in hospital over the
Christmas period. For 2010 our boxes are better than ever, put together using the feedback and
suggestions from troops who received one last year. The boxes contain a range of exciting items
including treats, novelties and gifts, but we're keeping the contents secret until Christmas Day as a
surprise for our Servicemen and women!

As always, we're using any spare room in the existing supply chain to get our Christmas Boxes out
to operational theatres, meaning that they don't need extra flights to get to our personnel on the
front line. This means we don't clog up the Forces' postal system, so our boxes get through without
preventing Christmas mail from loved ones being delivered on time.

The boxes are travelling to all the places in the world where our troops are stationed on operations,
such as Afghanistan, The Falkland Islands, Cyprus, and Ascension Island, but also to ships and
submarines at sea. We make sure no-one is forgotten at Christmas!

Operation Christmas Box is only able to do this through the support and donations made to the charity by
the public and our sponsors, and we still rely on your support and enthusiasm to make Christmas
for our Armed Forces away from home a happy one. Please take a look around our website to

make a donation
towards this great project.
